FOLLOW THE PRAGYAN ROVER

๐ŸŽฏ Objective

The game is designed to simulate a simplified Pragyan rover mission on the lunar surface. Your objective is to explore the Moon, collect scientific data, and transmit it back to Earth โ€” all while carefully managing power, communication windows, and time.

๐Ÿš€ Mission

  • Deploy the Pragyan rover near the Vikram lander.

  • Navigate across different lunar terrains:

    • Normal ground,

    • Craters,

    • Slopes,

    • Boulders,

    • Rim regions,

    • Permanent Shadow Regions (PSR).

  • Use onboard instruments (APXS & LIBS) to gather science data.

  • Collect and transmit findings during limited communication windows.

  • Return to the lander (optional) or hibernate before the lunar night.

  • The mission ends when power is fully depleted.

About the Game

  • Controls

    • Desktop: Use WASD / Arrow keys or click tiles.

    • Mobile: Swipe gestures or on-screen D-Pad.

  • Rover Features

    • Always visible above terrain.

    • Realistic wheel rotation animation.

    • Carries the Indian flag ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ.

  • HUD (Top bar) shows Day, Hour, and Comm Window status.

  • Panels (Right side) include:

    • Power (depletes with actions),

    • Data Buffer (collect & transmit science),

    • Resource Potential,

    • Instruments (APXS, LIBS, Scan, Collect, Upload, Hibernation),

    • Mission Log (records actions),

    • Science Objectives & Telemetry (progress & environment data).

๐Ÿ“Œ Key Notes for Players

  • Power is finite โ†’ Plan movements and scans carefully.

  • Comm windows are time-bound โ†’ Upload science only during open windows.

  • Science data appears as pulsing dots โ†’ Collect before itโ€™s gone.

  • The rover moves on the ground, tile by tile โ†’ like actual exploration.

  • Once power runs out, the mission ends โ€” just like real lunar ops.

๐Ÿ Educational Value

This is a learning & fun prototype, not a hardcore simulator.

It helps players understand:

  • Constraints of space exploration,

  • How rovers manage resources & timing,

  • The excitement and challenges of Indiaโ€™s Chandrayaan missions.
