ABOUT US.

Movsta Academy is an open-access learning platform on a mission to make space science radically accessible.

Whether you're a student, educator, or lifelong learner, our courses, audio explainers, tools, blogs, and resources help decode complex space concepts—from satellites and orbits to missions and planetary science.

This initiative is powered by Movsta, the organisation behind international space camps that have guided 50+ students across multiple editions—including immersive visits to the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Moscow. The Academy builds on this momentum—bringing the same passion to a digital platform for all.

In the nascent days of India’s space pursuit, ISRO’s engineers transported rocket components upon bicycles—launching aspirations from coastal chapels with quiet determination. From these modest origins arose the LVM3, a launch vehicle capable of carrying India’s boldest dreams—from Chandrayaan to the forthcoming Shukrayaan mission to Venus.

The 124th episode of Mann Ki Baat (July 27, 2025) resounded with the very ethos that animates Movsta Academy—an enduring commitment to kindling young minds through the majesty of space science.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the triumphant return of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla and reflected on the swelling tide of aspiration sparked by Chandrayaan‑3, we found our purpose deeply affirmed.

In an era shaped by the triumph of missions like Chandrayaan‑3 and a rising wave of student innovation through initiatives such as INSPIRE‑MANAK, we stand as a devoted custodian of this national awakening.

We offer open access to space education—not merely to observe the stars, but to rise upon the legacy of those who dared to reach them. By transforming missions into curricula and milestones into moments of learning, we prepare a new generation to chart bold trajectories—towards worlds yet unseen and knowledge yet unclaimed.

A Note of Thanks For Zerodha Varsity For Inspiration:

At Movsta Academy, we extend our deepest gratitude to Zerodha Varsity and Karthik Rangappa for lightning the path of open-access education in India. A decade ago, Varsity began with a simple yet radical promise—to educate and spread financial literacy without any “corporate” agenda. No sign-ups, no lead generation, no product placements, no ads—just pure learning. It was an agenda-free initiative where quality and simplicity of content mattered more than anything else, even in a time when resources were scarce.

They have mentioned the core philosophy
Knowledge, like other elements of life, should have no ownership. Therefore, high quality education should be made accessible to anyone and everyone without any financial obligations.
Back then, they chose the lowest-hanging fruit: a classic, article-based format. Yet in that simplicity lay strength—long-form content that was detailed, nuanced, and uncompromising in its clarity. They proved that free does not mean inferior; in fact, it can be the benchmark for excellence. We have no association with them, but we definitely adore❤️ their philosophy.

While Varsity has empowered a generation of self-learners in stock markets and personal finance, we carry that same spirit forward into the realm of space science. Different frontiers, same philosophy: knowledge must be free, accessible, and transformative. We thank them for showing the nation that quality education needs no price tag—it only needs purpose.
